Finished and soldered with Japanese 4% silver solder for a pristine, low-resistance signal path.

Description
12-Core Pure Silver RCA Interconnects
This is a pair of hand-woven pure OCC silver RCA interconnects built in-house at Gothic Audio (Manchester, UK).
We started making these in 2009 to offer a true, single-crystal silver interconnect at a realistic price – and over the years we’ve refined the braid, the dielectric and the connectors to get the best possible performance from OCC silver.
Construction
- Conductors: 12 × 26 AWG (per channel) 5N OCC single-crystal silver
- Dielectric: Teflon / air-spaced approach for reduced dielectric loading
- Braid: Hand-threaded, hand-braided in the UK
- Connectors: Custom / bespoke RCA we had manufactured in tellurium copper – both the outer and the centre pin are solid tellurium copper
- Solder: High-grade Japanese silver solder (around 4% Ag) for a clean, low-resistance joint
- Treatment: Cryo-treated conductors for improved grain boundary uniformity
Why 12 cores?
Going to 12 separately insulated conductors lets us increase the effective silver cross-section without losing the speed and openness people want from silver.
In practice it gives you:
- Lower resistance than a small 2-core silver lead
- Better current capability for dynamic, wide-band material
- Lower noise floor thanks to the way the braid rejects interference
About the silver
OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) 5N silver is produced as very long, near single-crystal runs, so there are far fewer grain boundaries than you get in drawn wire.
Fewer boundaries = fewer microscopic diode effects = less smearing of low-level detail.
That’s why these cables tend to sound clean and fast but not thin.
Tellurium-copper RCA connectors
Most RCAs use brass bodies and a plated centre pin. Ours don’t.
We had these made in tellurium copper so both the outer contact and the hollow centre pin are high-conductivity copper, then silver-plated to match the cable.
That keeps the termination in the same “family” of metals as the conductor and avoids building a good silver cable only to choke it at the plug.

Hand built in Manchester (since 2009)
All cables are still made here – we import the raw OCC silver and the connectors directly from the makers and build to order.

Note: Because these are braided from 12 individual cores, there is genuine build time in each pair. Small variations in outer diameter or braid tightness are totally normal for a hand-built cable.
