Cryogenic Treatment

Our wire is already OCC continuous cast but this extra treatment further improves the grain structure of the conductors.

Cryogenic treatment is a specialized process used to enhance the properties of various materials, including wire, by subjecting them to extremely low temperatures. This process involves cooling the material to temperatures well below freezing (typically around -300°F or -184°C) and maintaining it at that temperature for an extended period, in the case of our wire that is a 3 day process.
The prepared wire is then placed inside a specially designed cryogenic chamber. This chamber is capable of reaching and maintaining temperatures well below freezing for the duration of the treatment.

Warming Phase: After the allotted time at cryogenic temperatures, the wire is slowly warmed back to room temperature. This warming phase is often conducted gradually to prevent thermal shock and minimise the risk of any adverse effects on the material.

Reduced Microphonics: Cryogenic treatment has been shown to reduce the microphonic effects in wire, which refers to the transmission of mechanical vibrations into electrical signals. By stabilizing the material’s structure, cryogenic treatment can minimize the impact of external vibrations on the audio signal, resulting in cleaner and more accurate sound reproduction.
Audiophile-Grade Performance: For audiophiles and audio enthusiasts, cryogenically treated wire represents a premium option for achieving the highest levels of audio quality and fidelity. The subtle improvements in conductivity, durability, and signal transmission offered by cryogenic treatment can result in a more immersive and lifelike listening experience.
