Description
Silver-Plated Solid Copper Spade Speaker Terminals
Produced exclusively to our specification, these spades are precision-machined from solid copper
and finished with a direct silver plate. Compared with common brass fittings, the copper base metal
delivers markedly lower resistance and better current handling, while the silver surface provides a
dense, stable contact layer that resists micro-arcing and oxidation under clamping pressure.
Highlights
- Solid copper body (not brass) for superior conductivity
- Direct silver plating for ultra-low contact resistance
- No-solder install — secure with two Allen grub screws
- 8.9 mm / 30° fork for broad binding-post compatibility
- 4Â mm cable entry fits most hi-fi speaker cables
- Gold-plated iron screw (M4.0 × P0.7 × 4.0 mm)
- RoHS compliant
What you get
- Your choice of 4-piece or 8-piece set
- Each spade with dual grub screws (Allen hex)
- Simple install guide (below)

Why solid copper + silver plating?
The spade is the final link in your loudspeaker chain. A copper base ensures the bulk of the current
flows through a highly conductive medium, while the silver surface creates a dense, low-resistance
interface at the actual contact points. This combination preserves transient detail, reduces losses at the
connection, and stays stable under clamping force.
Compatibility
- Fits most 5-way binding posts supporting spade lugs (8.9 mm, 30°)
- Accepts bare/stripped speaker cable up to approx. 4Â mm conductor bundle
- Suitable for multi-strand copper/silver speaker cables
Installation (No Soldering)
- Strip ~8–10 mm of insulation from the cable end.
- Insert the conductor fully into the 4Â mm cable entry.
- Tighten both grub screws evenly (Allen/hex) until the conductor is firmly clamped.
- Attach to your speaker/amp binding posts and tighten to a snug, secure fit (do not overtighten).
Care & Maintenance
Silver forms a light surface patina over time; this is usually cosmetic. If needed, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
Avoid abrasive polishes that can remove plating.
Returns
For standard cables you can return within 30 days for refund. For sealed connectors the products must be
unused and unopened. If anything arrives damaged or faulty, please message us and we’ll make it right.
